Founded in 2021, we are a team of high school and college students that work tirelessly to put on high-quality production every summer.

ATC is dedicated to providing unique opportunities for students to get involved in all aspects of theater, from being in the cast of the show to being one of our talented directors. Our company is founded by students, for students, which allows both our team members and performers to grow, learn, and prosper in a new environment. Our first in-person production was Mamma Mia! in the summer of 2021, with our format including a week-long rehearsal process and 3 performances at the end of the week. We have had 4 summer products to date, and are so excited for what is to come in 2025!

About Us

Our Values

Community

With students from 19 different high schools across New Jersey, it is without a doubt Adams Theatre Company works to bring people together and to build lasting friendships. We aim to make theatre more accessible through our pay-what-you-can system, and we hope to continue offering free art to the community as long as we can. We have loved being involved in Dunellen’s Summer Concert Series and sharing our theatre with you all! We are inspired by the artists and audiences that we have brought together through the years and are grateful to have had this time with you all.

Collaboration

Theatre is an art form built around collaboration. At Adams Theatre Company, we hope to create a space where all ideas and talents are welcomed and valued. Since we are a student run company, we have learned through experience that collaboration is the only way to achieve a successful production. We are committed to making sure every member has a meaningful role in the process.  We come together to create musicals that showcase the individual voices of each of our artists while maintaining a cohesive vision.

We encourage students to step outside their comfort zone and be actively engaged in the production process of our shows. We have many opportunities to get involved on our creative team, such as being a choreographer, director, pit director, costume designer, sound engineer, and more. We are always looking for creative ideas from our students and new roles that can be implemented throughout the process. This can be choreography moments, costume pieces, or even set designs!
